The PR-10 hydrocyclonic element is a designed and patented construction for removing extremely fine solid particles—denser than the liquid—from any liquid or mixture with gas, such as produced water or seawater. The flow enters from the top of the vessel into the “candle,” which consists of a varying number of discs where the PR-10 cyclonic elements are installed. The stream containing solids flows into the PR-10, where solid particles are separated. The clean liquid is rejected into the upper vessel chamber and routed to the outlet nozzle, while solid particles drop into the lower solids chamber for batch disposal via the sand withdraw device.
